To help build a workforce ready mindset, Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) executives have been making rounds in colleges and universities through its Work Readiness Program (WRP).
This year, the bank has visited De La Salle University (DLSU) and University of the Philippines (UP) to talk about the demands and the changes in the corporate landscape in the Philippines. Through the bank’s experienced and seasoned executives, the session also tackled the key principles to succeed in the corporate world.
According to Ecclestial S. Palad, RCBC’s Technical Support Department head, 3 Ps (Passion, Profit, and Purpose) are the guiding principles that help students in choosing a career and find their direction in times of uncertainty and confusion. She also reminded students to keep a well-balanced life fueled by passion without neglecting oneself, family and friends. “ Always find purpose in every task,” she added.
Meanwhile, Philip V. Cinco, RCBC’s Head for Operational Risk Management Department highlighted the value of resilience, motivation, initiative, and a positive attitude to succeed in the corporate world.
“You have to be prepared, carry yourselves with professionalism, go the extra mile, and most importantly, always look for opportunities to grow and continuously learn,” Cinco said.
Started in 2017, RCBC’s WRP endeavors a workforce-ready mindset and influence the future generation to become future leaders that bring great value to their future companies and communities. It also aims to help graduating students find their career path, forge solid career goals, and inspire them to believe in their capabilities and dreams.
