FSVP CYNTHIA P. SANTOS ELECTED FIRST WOMAN PRESIDENT OF ABROI

RCBC TeleMoney Group Head FSVP Cynthia P. Santos was elected as President of the Association of Bank Remittance Officers (ABROI) for a 2-year period starting 2012.

The induction of the new ABROI officers was held last Wednesday,18 April 2012 at the Century Seafood Restaurant, Century Park Hotel. Inducting officer was BSP Governor Amando Tetangco Jr.. Also present were DG Juan Zuniga, DG Diwa Gunigundo, AG Cyd Tuano-Amador, Managing Director Edna Villa and other senior officers of the BSP.

ABROI is an organization that presents advocacies for reform and improvements in the remittance industry to the government and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas as well as to other bodies with interests in the welfare of the overseas Filipino.

ABROI meets at least once a month and provides the major banks active in OFW remittances with a forum to discuss the common issues and concerns plaguing the industry.
